Who can apply for support?
Anyone facing a genuine hardship they cannot cover themselves: medical costs, food insecurity, school fees, housing repairs, disability equipment or loss of livelihood. You will need an account, contact details we can reach you on, and whatever documents relate to your need. We prioritise households with no other source of help.
How long does an application take?
Most applications get a first response within three to five working days. Verification adds a little longer depending on how quickly documents and a local visit can be arranged. Cases marked critical are moved to the front of the queue the same day.
Where exactly does my donation go?
You choose a case, a campaign or the emergency fund when you give. Around 93% of income goes directly to programme delivery; the remainder covers verification, payment fees and the small team keeping the platform running. The split is published each year.
Is my donation Zakat-eligible?
Many of our cases are Zakat-eligible, particularly medical, food and education support for households below the nisab threshold. Tell us at the point of giving and we will allocate your gift only to eligible cases and confirm that in writing.
Can I give monthly, and cancel later?
Yes. Monthly giving is what lets us commit to a family for a full treatment plan or school year rather than a single payment. You can change the amount or cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email, with no phone call needed.
What happens if a case is over-funded?
Surplus funds move to the next verified case in the same category, and the donors who gave are told where their money went. Nothing sits idle in a closed case.
How do you protect the privacy of people you help?
Case pages carry a reference number, a category and a location no more specific than a district. Photographs and stories are only published with explicit, informed consent, and consent can be withdrawn at any point.
How do I become a volunteer?
Apply through the volunteer form. You will be asked about your skills, availability and coverage area, then verified and invited to an induction. Volunteers are called on for verified emergencies in their own district first.
